Modified Girls’ Soccer
On Wednesday, October 24th at Peabody field history was made. The Girls’ Modified Soccer Team, due to injury to one of their star defenders(Allegra Beals) played a girl down the whole game and defeated a tough, large in numbers Valhalla team 2-1. Julia Zallo and Madison Ortiz scored, and Jennifer Onwe made two unbelievable diving saves to preserve the victory. Cami Gonzalez, Maria Alverez and Alexandra Varela played solid from whistle to whistle. The team has their next game home on Tuesday, October 30th against a strong Pleasantville team at 4:30.
