Varsity Boys’ Track
On Tuesday, May 6th at Irvington High School, the boys’ track team competed in the League III-C Championships. Danny Alves won the 100m dash in a very competitive field. Chris Cellante placed 3rd in the 200m with a personal best time of 23.6 seconds. Ray Estrella placed 4th. Nick Carraro placed 2nd in the shot put. He also had a personal best of 41 feet, 2.5 inches. Will McCabe placed 6th in the mile in 5 minutes flat. The boys dominated the 400m Relay. They ran a team best of 45.2 seconds and placed 1st. They were; Danny Alves, Chris Cellante, Ray Estrellla, and Jamel Lyde. Our next meet is Saturday, May 10th at Irvington where we will be competing in the Rasbeck Relays. The following athletes were selected to the All League Track Team: Danny Alves, Chris Cellante, Ray Estrella, and Jamel Lyde. Nick Carraro received All League Honorable Mention.
