Modified Boys’ Soccer

The Sleepy Hollow Boys’ Modified Soccer team opened its season with a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Solomon Schechter Middle School.  Although Sleepy Hollow fell behind early, Giancarlo Nobrega scored the game-tying goal on an excellent cross from Nick Sarris.  Goalkeeper Nathanael Christian kept Sleepy Hollow in the game with several acrobatic saves and the defense, led by Jason Valero, played shutout ball for the last 57 minutes of the game.  Other noteworthy performances were put in by Kevin Ortiz, Tom Pardo, Fabio Chimbo, and Ben Tschan.  Our next game is on Wednesday, September 24th at Dobbs Ferry.
