The Sleepy Hollow modified softball team advanced its record to 5 & 2 on Thursday, May 17th. The victory over Irvington was truly a team effort. Heather Colley pitched a full 7 innings for the 12-3 win, striking out 12 batters for a season record. Hannah McCarthy skillfully protected the plate, while Edelisa Alvarez managed the dugout. Adanalys Lopez, Kali D’Agostinis, Betty Capellan, Gaby Chebetar, Josephine Galeotafiore, and Whitneyfer Alejo each enjoyed at least one hit. Janira Hiciano, Jurnee Reid, Johanny Marte, and Natalie Salazar contributed to the victory on the bases. Kriselys Adamas made key plays in the field during the 6th inning, and Nysia Jamison had the winning catch in the bottom of the 7th. What a team! Go Hollow!
