At New Rochelle on Saturday, April 28th, the Horsemen overcame a four goal deficit to beat New Rochelle with a final score of 10 - 8. The Horsemen found themselves down 4 - 8 early in the second half. Sleepy Hollow rallied with six unanswered goals, which would prove to be sufficient to complete the comeback.

Alex Silverman scored six goals, including the tying and go-ahead goals late in the fourth quarter. He assisted two others. Brendan Chillemi added three goals, including a top corner shot that would seal the deal. John Campbell rounded out the scoring with one goal. Spencer White, Will Berkowitz and Jean Patino each had one assist.

John Lopez and his defense remained composed through adversity in the first half. Lopez had nine key saves in the comeback. The defense, anchored by Connor Tompkins, Steve Amaro, John Bonanno and Dennis Bencosme, buckled down during the second half rally. They would not allow a New Rochelle goal in the fourth quarter to protect the Sleepy Hollow six goal run and comeback. This included a key sequence when the score was finally tied up, and Connor Tompkins met a would-be goal-scorer for New Rochelle with a crushing hit. After the shot rattled away, Sophomore Goalie, John Lopez made a critical save to propel momentum for the Horsemen to victory.

The Horsemen ride to Somers to play JFK on Monday, April 30th. They return home to host Pelham on Tuesday.
