Varsity Girls’ Lacrosse

The Varsity Girls Lacrosse team played their hearts out in an incredible matchup against Pelham on Friday, April 13th.  At Pelham, the horsemen were down by many goals but managed to tie the game 8-8.  We stretched ahead to 10-8 with goals from Angela Martello.  Unfortunately, Sleepy Hollow was defeated by Pelham 12-10 but overall the girls played one of their most competitive games of the season.  It was an intense 50 minutes of girls’ lacrosse.  Angela Martello led scoring with 5 goals.  Jennifer Angevine and In-hye Erstling both finished with 2 goals.  Melissa Smutek had one goal and an assist.  Anna Oliva, Lauren Chin, and Bridie Chillemi all had an assist for the Horsemen.  Leah Morales had a career high 14 saves.
