Varsity Baseball

Sleepy Hollow finished up their baseball season on Thursday, May 21st at Pearl River, losing 11-2. The Horsemen had a rare pitching appearance of senior Chritian Zolbe, who started his first game of the year. He went the full 6 innings giving up all 11 runs with only 6 of them earned. The Horsemen bats were quiet in their last game, but new arrivals including Ronnie Rodriguez and Nick Fannelli from JV contributed. Ronnie went 2-3 in his first varsity game, while Nick drove in one of Sleepy’s two runs with a sacrifice fly. The Horsmen had a tough year in wins and losses but never hung their heads. With great senior leadership from Christian Zolbe, Jon Merheb, Jose Hidalgo, Dawin De La Cruz, and Jose Rivera, the Horsemen fought hard all season. Good luck to the seniors as they move on.
