On Thursday, the boys’ indoor track team competed in the League Championships at Rockland Community College. John Pardo recorded a personal best in the 55m as well as Will McCabe in the 800m. The boys 4 x 800m relay team raced 4th in a time of 10:00.1.
On Saturday, May 12rh the boys’ track team competed in the Doc Rasbeck Relays at Irvington. The 400m Relay team consisting of Danny Alves, Chris Cellante, Hipolito Guzman, and Ray Estrella placed first. The sprint medley team placed 3rd as well as the 800m relay team.
Danny Alves and Candido Diaz placed first in the Long Jump relay and Danny and Hipolito placed 2nd in the High jump relay. Our next meet is on Saturday, May 18th, at Byram Hills
The varsity boys’ track team competed in the League Championships at Pearl River on Tuesday, May 8th. Hipolito Guzman placed 3rd in the high jump and Danny Alves placed 3rd in the 100m dash. The 400m Relay team, consisting of Danny Alves, Chris Cellante, Hipolito Guzman, and Ray Estrella, also placed 3rd. Will McCabe set a personal record in the 1600m breaking the tape at 5:18. Great job by the entire team. Our next meet is Saturday, May 12th at Irvington for the Rasbeck Relays.
On Wednesday, May 2nd, the varsity boys’ track team competed at Irvington. The 400m Relay team consisting of; Danny Alves, Chris Cellante, Hipolito Guzman, and Ray Estrella placed 1st. Danny and Hipolito also high jumped a personal best (5′ 9″) to place 2nd and 3rd respectively. Candido Diaz placed 1st in the long jump with a leap of 18′5″. Will McCabe ran a personal best in the 1600m in a time of 5:25. Chris Cellante placed 2nd in the 200m in a time of 24.7. Our next meet is the League Championship at Pearl River. It will be held on Tuesday, May 8th. Come out and support the team.
On Saturday, April 28th the varsity boys’ track team competed at Clarkstown South High School. The boys’ 400m Relay Team, consisting of Danny Alves, Chris Cellante, Hipolito Guzman and Ray Estrella, placed third in a time of 47.5. Hipolito Guzman and Danny Alves went 2,3 in the High Jump and Candito Diaz and Danny Alves went 2,3 in the long jump. Rookie Kevin Igwe placed 5th in the long Jump. Our next meet is Wednesday, May 2nd, at Irvington High School. Come out and support the team!
