Varsity Cross Country

On Friday, November 4th, Katherine Doyle, David Malodnado, and Ian Harbus competed in the New York State Cross Country State Qualifier Meet. Congratulations to Katherine, who qualified for her third straight State meet. She had a phenomenal race and was one of five girls who qualified in the Section as an individual. The New York State Meet is on Saturday, November 12th in Verona, New York.

Varsity Cross Country

On Tuesday, October 4th, the boys’ and girls’ cross country teams competed against Irvington and Woodlands. Junior captain, David Maldonado, broke the Sleepy Hollow course record in a blistering time of 17:48! He is now the fastest runner for Sleepy Hollow on our home course. Henry Hargitai and Kyle McGovern placed 2nd and 3rd respectively for the team. Ian “Matrix” Harbus and Mike Valentin both broke their personal records and placed 4th and 5th. We did the best we could but fell short to Irvington and beat Woodlands. The boys’ team is now 4-1.

On the girls’ side, Katherine Doyle, continues her dominance over the league by placing first in a time of 19:45, just 15 seconds off her course record. She built a 3 minute gap over the second place runner. She is primed and ready for next week’s league championship. Sophie Simon and Camille Aulagner placed 2nd and 3rd for the Lady Horseman.

Our next meet is Wednesday, October 12th, at Rockwood Hall. It is the league championships. Races start at 4pm, so don’t be late.

Varsity Cross Country

On Saturday, October 1st, Katherine Doyle and David Maldonado competed in the Brewster XC Invitational. It was a tough and muddy race but they both did well. David placed 26th overall and Katherine placed 2nd. Great job guys.

Our next meet is Tuesday, October 4th, at Rockwood Hall. Come out and support the team.

Varsity Cross Country

On Tuesday, September 27th, the boys’ and girls’ cross country teams competed against Dobbs Ferry. The boys came out victorious to go 3-0 this season. David Maldonado led the way by breaking his personal record and the junior school record. Kyle McGovern and Henry Hargitai placed 2nd and 3rd respectively.

On the girls’ side, the lone finisher was Sophie Parens. She ran a personal best on the course.

Our next meet is Saturday, October 1st. We are competing in the Brewster Invitational.

Varsity Cross Country

On Saturday, September 24th, Katherine Doyle competed in the JFK Invitational. Katherine led from start to finish and set a new course record. She completed the “hat trick” by winning this race 3 years in a row.

Our next meet is Tuesday, September 27th, at Rockwood Hall. We are running against Dobbs Ferry. Come out and support the team.

Varsity Cross Country

On Tuesday, September 20th, the boys’ and girls’ cross country teams competed against Ardsley. Ian Harbus led the way by running a personal best time of 19:52. Mike Valentin also stepped up and placed 3rd for the Horsemen and ran a personal best of 20:28. The team ran really well and bet Ardsley to go 2-0 for the season.

On the Girls side, Sophie Simon placed 1st for the team and 2nd overall. Camille Aulagner place 4th overall.

Our next meet is Tuesday, September 27th, at Rockwood Hall. Come out and support the team.

Cross Country

On Tuesday September 13th, the boys’ and girls’ XC teams competed against Hastings at Rockwood Hall. The boys got off to a great start by winning their first meet of the season. David Maldonado led the way by placing first overall. He was 20 seconds off his personal record. Kyle McGovern was right behind in 2nd place. He was 1 of 2 runners to go under 19 minutes on the tough course. Rounding out the top five were Henry Hargitai, Ian Harbus and Mike Valentin. Mike had an outstanding race. He broke his personal record and placed in the top 5 for the first time.

One the girls side, Katherine Doyle placed first overall. She was 3 minutes ahead of the next runner. Sophie Simon place 3rd overall.

Our next meet is Tuesday, September 20th at Rockwood Hall. We will be competeing against Ardsley. Come out and cheer on the Horsemen.

On Saturday, November 13th, Katherine Doyle competed the in the New York State XC Championships. She placed 16th overall and received All-State honors for her efforts. Also, a special thanks for the fans who made the trip to Pawling and cheered her on. Congratulations on a great season.

Congratulations to Katherine Doyle. On Friday, October 5th Katherine qualified for her second straight XC State Meet. She placed 3rd at this year’s Section 1 Championships which earned her a spot at the State meet which is being held at Parkside Park in Pawling, NY on Saturday, October 13th. Come out and support Katherine in the biggest race of the season.

On Saturday, October 31st, the boys’ and girls’ XC teams competed at the Westchester County Championships at Somers HS. David Maldonado placed 83rd overall and top 10 for sophomores. Ian Harbus and Ranggy Tapia has nice races.

Katherine Doyle placed 6th overall and received All-County (1st Team) honors. She will be competing in the Section 1 Championships this Friday hoping to earn a spot at the State Meet.
