Modified Field Hockey

Modified Field Hockey – Tuesday, October 25, 2011 – The Sleepy Hollow middle school field hockey team was defeated 2-0 by Mamaroneck Orange. The next game will be played at home against Mamaroneck Black on Wednesday, October 26th. The final game is Thursday, October 27th, home against Irvington.

Modified Field Hockey

On Monday, October 24th, the Sleepy Hollow Middle School Field Hockey game was cancelled by White Plains. The next game will be played at Mamaroneck on Tuesday, October 25th. The remaining schedule can be found below:

Wednesday, October 26th, home against Mamaroneck
Thursday, October 27th, home against Irvington

Team and individual photos will be taken prior to Wednesday’s game.
Thursday is the last day for Field Hockey activities.

Modified Field Hockey – Tuesday, October 18, 2011

Today’s Sleepy Hollow middle school field hockey home game against Irvington has been postponed. The game has been rescheduled for Thursday, October 27, 2011. The team will be practicing on the rubber field at Morse School on Wednesday October 19th. Our next game will be played at on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at Scarsdale. The contest against White Plains has been rescheduled for Monday, October 24th, at White Plains.

Varsity Field Hockey

Sleepy Hollow varsity field hockey lost 2-0 on Westnesday, October 5th against Scarsdale at Scarsdale Middle School. Sleepy Hollow’s goalie, Maya Bauer-Moshi, finished the game with 17 saves and Sleepy Hollow’s defensive unit stopped 20 penalty corners. Sleepy Hollow is looking for a win on Tuesday, October 8th at JFK.

Varsity Field Hockey

The Sleepy Hollow varsity field hockey team beat Pelham 1-0 on Monday September 19th for their first win of the season. Jamie Volpe scored the goal and Julia Rennert was credited with the assist. Congratulations to the defense and Maya Bauer-Moshi, the goalie, on the shut out. Sleepy Hollow will be playing at home on September 21st against Irvington.

Varsity Field Hockey

The Sleepy Hollow Varsity Field Hockey team tied their game on Thursday September 15th against Hastings. Both teams played solid defense and after a full game the score was still 0-0. Maya Bauer-Moshi, the goalie for Sleepy Hollow finished with 5 saves and Hastings goalie finished with 5 saves as well. Sleepy Hollow will be playing away at Pelham on Monday, September 19th.

Wednesday, October 27th – The Sleepy Hollow Middle School Field Hockey team played Valhalla to a 2-2 tie. The next game will be played at home against Horace Greeley on Thursday, October 28th.

Varsity Field Hockey

The Varsity Field Hockey team took on Valhalla Monday, October 25th in its last home game.  Nine seniors were honored before the game: Co-Captain Jennifer Angevine, Co-Captain Gabby Cellante, Gianna Volpe, Andrea Alvarez, Emily Mottola, Bernice Rodriguez, Jess Cabrera, Sarah Camlic and Daniela Uribe.  The Lady Horseman defeated Valhalla 3-1 with goals by Senior Emily Mottola, Junior Vali Morales assisted By Jen Angevine.  In the final seconds of the first half, Jen Angevine scored off a penalty stroke to make it 3-0 going into half time.  Valhalla scored a goal in the second half to make it 3-1.  Senior Daniela Uribe made 5 saves. The Lady Horseman now stand at 9-2-4 and will take on Briarcliff in its final game of the season on Tuesday, October 26th at Briarcliff starting at 4:15.
