The girls’ track team shined at the League Meet yesterday, May 8th at Irvington. Congratulations to our all-league champions: Gillian Berger (LJ, TJ, 100m, 400 meter relay) Gabrielle Maldonado ( 200, 400, 400 meter relay) Grace Carr ( 400 meter relay) and Jessica Tucci (400 meter relay). Congratulations to Gillian Berger for her dominating performance at the Somers Invitational this past Saturday, May 5th. Gillian placed first in the long jump and triple jump. She jumped a 17 ’3.25″ in long jump and a 38′ 2.75″ in triple jump, breaking the meet record!!! Congratulations, Gillian!!

Congratulations to Sleepy Hollow’s FINEST athlete, Gillian Berger! Gillian is the runner up NYS Champion in the triple jump!!!! Gillian placed 2nd for all the public schools in NY State and 3rd in the federation, which includes all private schools. Gillian is the 17th fastest 55 meter sprinter and the 15th best long jumper in the state! Congratulations, Gillian on your outstanding performance and for representing Sleepy Hollow athletes!

Congratulations to All-Star track & field athlete, Gillian Berger. Gillian qualified in all three of her events, 55 meters, long jump and triple jump, at the state qualifier track meet. Gillian is one of two in Section 1 to qualify in all of the events in which she competed. She will be competing this week at the NYS Track & Field Meet at Cornell University. Good luck, Gillian!!!

On Wednesday, February 15th, the boys’ and girls’ indoor track team competed at the Section 1 Championships. Gillian Berger had a phenomenal meet winning gold in three events. She won the long jump, triple jump and ran a personal best to edge out Somers in the 55m dash. She is competing in next week’s state qualifier and has a great shot to make it the the State Championships in Syracuse.

The girls’ track team competed at the State Qualifier on Friday, June 3rd. Gabrielle Maldonado did an outstanding job in the 200 meters by placing 3rd in Division 1. Gillian Berger placed 3rd in the triple jump and received her best jump, 37’5.5.” Great performance by all-star distance runner, Katherine Doyle who competed in the steeple chase.

The varsity girls’ track team competed at the league meet on Monday, May 9th. The team placed 2nd overall and had the most all-league and all-league honorable mention athletes. The following athletes received all-league: Gillian Berger- 100 meters, long jump and triple jump and all-league honorable mention for the 200 meters. Katherine Doyle- 1500 and 3000 meters. Gabrielle Maldonado- 200 and 400 meters. Lisanette Schwab- Shot put. Excellent performances by all athletes! Come support the Lady Horsemen on Saturday, May 14th, @ Irvington.

The girls’ track team competed on Monday, May 2nd against Croton. All-star distance runner, Katherine Doyle placed 1st in the 1500 and 3000 meters. The girls’ distance relay team, Daniella Carissimo, Julia Rennert, Camille Aulagner and Katherine Doyle set their personal record with a time of 10:47! Good job girls! Gillian Berger captured first in the 100 meters and long jump and placed 2nd in the triple jump. Sophomore sprinter, Gabbi Maldonado, placed first in the 200m. and 400m. Camille Aulagner, Julia Rennert, Daniella Carissimo & Emily Geiger all received their personal best in their events! Great performances by all athletes! The girls’ track team is on FIRE! They crushed Westlake and Port Chester at the meet on Tuesday, April 26th. The girls’ distance relay team, Daniella Carissimo, Julia Rennert, Madison Ortiz and Katherine Doyle and the sprinting relay team, Gabby Maldonado, Grace Carr, Madison Ortiz and Gillian Berger both placed placed first. Daniella placed 2nd in the 100 high hurdles and first in the 400 intermediate hurdles. Katherine Doyle placed first in the 1500 meters and 3000 meters. Lisanette Schwab placed first in both the shot put and discus. All-star runner Gabrielle Maldonado placed first in the 400 meters, breaking the school record with a time of 59 seconds! Go Gabby!! Once again, Gillian Berger dominated by placing first in all events and jumped her best in the triple jump, 35 feet, and long jump, 15’10″! Camille Aulagner jumped her best and placed 2nd in the triple jump and 3rd in the long jump. Emily Geiger received her personal best in the 200 meters with a time of 30.9 seconds. Tuesday, April 12th – Once again the girls track team had another outstanding performance. The Lady Horsemen crushed Ossining at yesterday’s track and field meet. The athletes placed 1st in the majority of the events, including field. Gillian Berger dominated and placed 1st in the 100 meters, long jump and triple jump. Camille Aulager placed 2nd in the long jump and triple jump. Lily Sands placed 1st in the shot put and Grace Carr placed 2nd. Julia Rennert placed 3rd in the 200 meter run and all-star Katherine Doyle placed 1st in the 800 meters and 1500 meters. Daniella Carissimo placed 1st in the 100 high hurdles and the 400 intermediate hurdles. Madison Ortiz placed 2nd in the 400 meter run. Congratulations to all Lady Horsemen! The teams next meet is April 26th, at Port Chester. Come support and cheer the girls on!
