The girls’ track team competed at the State Qualifier on Friday, June 3rd. Gabrielle Maldonado did an outstanding job in the 200 meters by placing 3rd in Division 1. Gillian Berger placed 3rd in the triple jump and received her best jump, 37’5.5.” Great performance by all-star distance runner, Katherine Doyle who competed in the steeple chase.

The varsity girls’ track team competed at the league meet on Monday, May 9th. The team placed 2nd overall and had the most all-league and all-league honorable mention athletes. The following athletes received all-league: Gillian Berger- 100 meters, long jump and triple jump and all-league honorable mention for the 200 meters. Katherine Doyle- 1500 and 3000 meters. The girls’ track team competed on Monday, May 2nd against Croton. All-star distance runner, Katherine Doyle placed 1st in the 1500 and 3000 meters. The girls’ distance relay team, Daniella Carissimo, Julia Rennert, Camille Aulagner and Katherine Doyle set their personal record with a time of 10:47! Good job girls! Gillian Berger captured first in the 100 meters and long jump and placed 2nd in the triple jump. Sophomore sprinter, Gabbi Maldonado, placed first in the 200m. and 400m. Camille Aulagner, Julia Rennert, Daniella Carissimo & Emily Geiger all received their personal best in their events! Great performances by all athletes! The girls’ track team is on FIRE! They crushed Westlake and Port Chester at the meet on Tuesday, April 26th. The girls’ distance relay team, Daniella Carissimo, Julia Rennert, Madison Ortiz and Katherine Doyle and the sprinting relay team, Gabby Maldonado, Grace Carr, Madison Ortiz and Gillian Berger both placed placed first. Daniella placed 2nd in the 100 high hurdles and first in the 400 intermediate hurdles. Katherine Doyle placed first in the 1500 meters and 3000 meters. Lisanette Schwab placed first in both the shot put and discus. All-star runner Gabrielle Maldonado placed first in the 400 meters, breaking the school record with a time of 59 seconds! Go Gabby!! Once again, Gillian Berger dominated by placing first in all events and jumped her best in the triple jump, 35 feet, and long jump, 15’10″! Camille Aulagner jumped her best and placed 2nd in the triple jump and 3rd in the long jump. Emily Geiger received her personal best in the 200 meters with a time of 30.9 seconds. Tuesday, April 12th – Once again the girls track team had another outstanding performance. The Lady Horsemen crushed Ossining at yesterday’s track and field meet. The athletes placed 1st in the majority of the events, including field. Gillian Berger dominated and placed 1st in the 100 meters, long jump and triple jump. Camille Aulager placed 2nd in the long jump and triple jump. Lily Sands placed 1st in the shot put and Grace Carr placed 2nd. Julia Rennert placed 3rd in the 200 meter run and all-star Katherine Doyle placed 1st in the 800 meters and 1500 meters. Daniella Carissimo placed 1st in the 100 high hurdles and the 400 intermediate hurdles. Madison Ortiz placed 2nd in the 400 meter run. Congratulations to all Lady Horsemen! The teams next meet is April 26th, at Port Chester. Come support and cheer the girls on!

The girls’ track team had stellar performances against Briarcliff on Monday, April 4th. Lighting strikes when Gillian Berger and Gabrielle Maldonado hit the track. Both Lady Horsemen placed first in all running open events. The girls also placed first, along with Peal Malcolm and Madison Ortiz, for the 400 meter relay. Sophomore superstar Daniella Carissimo placed first in the 100 high hurdles and 400 intermediate hurdles. All-star distance runner, Katherine Doyle, placed first in the 1500 meters and 3000 meters. Madison Ortiz took 10 seconds off her personal best in the 800 meters. Come support the Lady Horsemen, next Tuesday, April 12th at Ossining! Go Hollow!

On Saturday, April 2nd, Katherine Doyle and Daniella Carissimo competed in the 2000m Steeplechase at the Pirate Relays. Katherine placed 4th while Daniella placed 5th overall during tough conditions. Our next meet is Monday, April 4th at Briarcliff.

The girls’ track team competed yesterday, March 30th, against Pleasantville. Gillian Berger, Gabby Maldonado and Pearl Malcolm captured a 1,2,3 win for the team in the 100 meter dash. Gabby Maldonado placed 1st in the 200 meters and teammate Gillian Berger placed 2nd for another solid victory. Daniella Carissimo and Katherine Doyle both placed in the 1500 meters and 3000 meters. Both the distance and sprint relay teams placed 1st making Sleepy Hollow athletes top finishers in almost all of the running events. Our next meet is on Monday, April 4th at Briarcliff.

The girls’ track team competed on Wednesday, January 19th at the Rockland Invitational. Gillian Berger placed 3rd in the 55 meter dash and Gabby Maldonado received her personal best with a time of 7.6 seconds. Christian Zhinin tied the junior 1000 meter record with a time of 2:52.7. Congratulations to the girls’ track team for their outstanding performance at the league meet that took place on Sunday, January 16th at the Armory. The Lady Horsemen captured the sprinting events with a 1, 2, 3 win. Gillian Berger placed 1st and received all-league for the 55 meter dash. Gabby Cellante placed 2nd in the 55 meters and received all league honorable mention and Gabby Maldonado placed 3rd. Gillian Berger again received all-league by placing 1st for the 300 meters and Gabby Maldonado placed 3rd. Distance runner, Katherine Doyle, received all league in the 3000 meters by placing first. Maddy McGovern placed 3rd in the 1500 meters. The girls’ distance relay team (4 x 800mR) Katherine Doyle, Maddy McGovern, Julia Rennert, and Liz Brady, placed 2nd and received all league honorable mention. Lastly, the girls’ sprint relay team, Gabby Maldonado, Madison Ortiz, Gabby Cellante and Gillian Berger received all league by placing 1st in the 800 meter relay. Great job to all athletes!
