Friday, September 28th, 2007

The SHEDI swim team started their season with a big win over Lakeland/Panas. It was their first win in two years after moving down from Division One because of their merger last season. The team, combined with Edgemont and Irvington, is the biggest in history with 33 members. SHEDI had two great, competitive meets against Scarsdale and Byram Hills but fell short losing both this past week. Stand out swimmers include 8th grade freestyler Alexia Boumis and returning 9th grade Captain Kerry Oliveira, who swims freestyle and breastroke. Please come by Marymount pool next week as SHEDI takes on Pelham Tuesday and Ardsley/Hastings Thursday. Meets begin at 4:30pm. Hope to see you there!
