Modified Girls’ Lacrosse

The modified girls’ lacrosse team ended their season on Thursday, May 29th, with a big win over New Rochelle by a score of 3 - 2. Elsa Veras once again played outstanding in goal to lead our team to victory. Claire Buckley, Ali London & Vali Morales all scored for the Horsemen. Our defense was led by Maya Bauer-Moshi, Sophie Simon & Marissa Barbera. Thanks for your support all season.

Varsity Girls’ Track

Congratulations to Genevieve Ruppel for placing 2nd in her division and 3rd overall at the track and field State Qualifier. Genevieve jumped her best, 17′ 4.25.” Genevieve will be competing at the New York State Track and Field meet in Buffalo June 13th. She is the first female athlete to qualify for the state meet in the last 20 years!

The Sleepy Hollow Middle School baseball team defeated Byram Hills 11-3. This was the final game of the season. The team finished with a record of 4 wins and 6 losses. Thank you to all the family members and friends that supported the team during this spring season.

The Sleepy Hollow Middle School baseball game against Ardsley was cancelled due to rain.
The final contest will be played on Wednesday, May 28th at home against Byram Hills.

Sleepy Hollow Softball won two games Thursday and Friday. We beat Nanuet on Thursday 6 to 1. Danielle Fanelli and Charlotte Frank each had two hits. Charlotte and Jessica Bucci each had two RBI’s. On Friday we beat Pleasantville 9 to 5. We finished the season (16-4). Deanne Lindsay pitched both wins. She finished with a pitching record of (14-3). Against Pleasantville Jessica Bucci, Allaire Primiano and Charlotte FrankĀ each had two hits. Allaire had three RBI’s and Charlotte had two RBI’s

Congratulations to Genevieve Ruppel for placing 2nd in Class B and also receiving her personal best in long jump. Genevieve jumped 17′ 2 1/4″ which has not been done at Sleepy Hollow for the last 20 years. Great job Genevieve for an outstanding season and making Sleepy Hollow proud!

Varsity Boys’ Track

On Saturday, the boys’ track team competed in the Class B Championships. Will McCabe dropped 6 seconds off his mile time. He ran a blazing 4:51 mile. Nick Carraro placed 8th with a throw of 39 feet. In the most anticipated race, the boys 400m relay team placed first in a time of 45.2. They were; Danny Alves, Chris Cellante, Ray Estrella, and Jamel Lyde. The relay team had a fantastic season. They received All-League Honors, placed 3rd in the county, and were Class B Champs.

Sleepy Hollow softball avenged an early season loss yesterday by beating Dobbs Ferry 12 to 1
Raising our record to (14-4). Danielle Fanelli had three hits including a double with 3 RBI’s and 4 runs scored. Deanne Lindsay pitched the win making her record (12-3), she also had three hits and two runs scored. Charlotte Frank had three hits including a double - two RBI’s and a run scored. Olga Thomas had a good day defensively and two hits and two RBI’s

The Sleepy Hollow Middle School baseball team was defeated by Croton 11-1. The game was halted in the bottom of the sixth innings due to the Mercy Rule. The next contest will be played on Tuesday, May 27th at Ardsley.

On Monday, May 19th, Sleepy Hollow Softball beat Irvington 8 to 0. The game was led by Deanne Lindsay who pitched a NO HITTER, Danielle Fanelli - 2 Doubles and 3 RBI’s and Jamie Bucci - 3 hitsĀ  and two run scored. Also, Deanne Lindsay, Jessica Bucci and Charlotte Frank
each had 2 hits. Sleepy Hollow Softball record is now (13-4). Our next game is on Tuesday, May 20th at home vs. Pleasantville.
