WOW!!! What an offensive explosion by the Horsemen. On Monday, May 19th we defeated Albertus 16-9. The team wasn’t their usual defensive selves, but the bats have been awake. The last couple of games have been close (including an extra inning loss), and we finally put together a win. On Tuesday, May 20th we are traveling to Pleasantville to wrap up the season and finish on a winning streak. All three captains contributed to the win yesterday. Leading the charge with yet another fine pitching performance was Dan Kaplan. Hansel Salcedo and Nick Fanelli helped the team with some offensive pop. 8th grader Ronnie Rodriguez, looking more like Mariana Rivera, closed the game out for the Horsmen. Alex Waldman, so far the defensive clutch player of the year, made another couple of great plays. T.J. Kent took one for the team and played out of position and added a clutch hit for Sleepy. We bunted, stole bases, squeezed and hit our way to a win. It was a great team win and it is nice to see the team grow and develop together.
