The Modified Softball team (red squad) improved its record on Tuesday, May 12th with a win over Woodlands 7-2. Jenny Bucci pitched all six innings, striking out at least one player every inning. Despite falling 10-4 to a tough league rival, the Horsemen ladies played inspired lacrosse on Tuesday, May 12th. On Monday, May 11th at Briarcliff, the Sleepy Hollow varsity baseball team lost 10-1 to the Bears. Sleepy pitchers, including Dawin De La Cruz, Jose Rivera, and Christian Zolbe were roughed around, but only 6 of the runs were earned. Sleepy Hollow Varsity Softball beat Yonkers on Monday, May 11, 2 to 0,improving our record to (8-7). Deanne Lindsay pitched the shutout allowing only 3 hits. On Offense Jessica Bucci had two hits and an RBI and Deannne Lindsay also had two hits. Our next game is on Wednesday, May 13th at Hastings.

Modified Baseball, Friday May 8, 2009 – The Sleepy Hollow Middle School baseball team defeated Dobbs Ferry, by a score of 14-3. The contest was stopped after the fifth inning due to the Mercy Rule. The next game will be played on Tuesday, May 12th at home against Woodlands.

On Friday May 8th the JV boys lacrosse team played against JFK. The final score was 8-5 Sleepy Hollow. Captain Mike Sagarra led the team with six goals. Sleepy’s overall record is 4-3.
