White is a mealworm

In the ground

A mealworm that squirms all around.

White is a big cloud

Floating in the sky.

White is paper what becomes colorful

When I draw.

White is vanilla ice cream

Creamy and delicious!

James, I loved the image of a white cloud floating in the sky. It made me think of flying in an airplane and looking down at the clouds. You did a really good job on this poem. Thanks for sharing it.

    James,
I liked your poem! Mealworms are what Gavin fed to his bearded dragon Yugina. You did a really good job describing the color white. Continue to write great poems!

Hi James – It’s Mrs. Daley
We just heard you read your poem on the Smartboard. My students loved the first stanza about the mealworm. They had a personal connection because we learned about them….remember that! Great job!
