Lawn Mower: A Personification Poem

By Hannah and Samantha

I am like a baby eating up old grass

And spitting out newer, cleaner grass.

I am a cleaning, seatless vacuum

Vroom, Vroom…

I am like a gardener on roller skates

I clean up the dirty grass

While I skate on your lawn.

I’m like a hairdresser-

I give the grass a funky new ‘do!

When I’m done I say,

“Don’t ride your bike on the grass!”

    Girls,
I LOVE that line where you compare the lawn mower to a hairdresser who gives the grass a funky new ‘do! It made me laugh out loud!
