Personification Poems

May 12th, 2007

Personification is a poetic device where a poet makes an object act like a person in order to make it “come to life.” We picked a random picture card and paired off in small groups to make the object “come to life.” We bet when you read our poems you’ll never see these ordinary objects in the same way again!

    Dear Ms Cristella’s class,

Your poems have really inspired me! I would not be surprised if the next Poet Laureate came from this class! The Poet Laureate is someone that the President chooses to write poetry for the country.  You guys are that good.  Keep it up.
