Snowplow: A Personification Poem
By Serena and Natalie
I split out salt like a salt shaker.
I clean snow like a cleaning lady.
I sweep it aside,
Making little mountains of snow
for kids to jump in.
I am like a broom-
My job is to sweep up the snowy mess.
Once I’m done, the streets are clear
And kids can back to school.
“Ohhh man!”
I am a snowplow.

Girls,
You really did a super job using personification in your poem! I like how you said the snowplow spits out salt like a salt shaker. Next time I see a snowplow I’ll think of your poem and visualize it as a giant salt shaker!
