The Thanksgiving Football Game

My family went to Ohio on Thanksgiving. It took seven hours to get there. I love football, it is my favorite sport! So for Thanksgiving my family watched the big game.
No one from my family likes Michigan. Everyone likes Ohio State because my family is from Ohio.
When Illinois beat them they went down to fifth place. “This stinks!” we thought. Then LSU was number one and I was so sad! Boooo! Booo!
But Arkansas beat LSU in overtime. I was amazed! “Holy cow!” I shouted. That was a very big upset!
Now Ohio State is number two and now I am so happy! “Yes! Yes!” When LSU lost I victory danced, “Ya! Ya!”

Awesome memoir Will! Your use of sound effects made it so much fun to read. It helped your writing to “come alive.” I think you should be a sports reporter or announcer when you grow up!
