Snow Plow
Snow Plow
A Personification Poem By Elina, Noel, Chris, Jared
It cleans up the streets
like people on Earth Day.
It rumbles
like a hungry stomach.
It gulps snow…
“Gullllpp!â€
It rakes
like neighbors in fall.
It has a big, yellow snout
like a monster.
“HUNGRY FOR MORE!†says the snowplow.

Kickball
An Onomatopoeia Poem by Jared and Noel
DOOSH! BOOM! Goes the kid’s foot kicking the ball.
Whhhhhh- it soars through the air.
Boing, boing bounces the ball.
Chic, chick… I got it! OUT! OUT!
Click clack, click clack go the kids’ feet.
“It’s a foul! You’re out!â€
Squeak, squeak
The kicker runs out.
Dum, dum, dum, roll… Mr. Farrell pitches the ball.
DOOM! BOOM! HOMERUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A Fun Snow Day
A Fun Snow Day
By Jared
I see funny, creative, silly snowmen
in the neighbor’s backyard.
We hear people warming their cars
“Vrrrrooom!â€
All of us taste sweet chocolate brownies.
“Yum!â€
My family smells warm nuts
at Grandma’s house.
We touch warm blankets
when it’s ten degrees outside.
My Trip to Milwaukee
A Memoir by Jared
I went to Milwaukee. It took six hours. It was long! The trip was for my birthday.
I went in a jazz club. It was so cool when they sang “Happy Birthday†with their trumpets and their tapshoes!
They had a vanilla cake with sprinkles.
There was also an amusement park we went to. There it had a pool. I did flips. Somebody said, “Incredible dude!†The pool was ten feet.
When we were there my brother gave me a punching bag. It was a super trip!
