Mrs. Osnow’s Class

I would imagine my ideal Christmas, waking up to a vibrantly decorated house with colorful lights and the smell of sweet, fluffy pancakes cooking. When I wake up, I go straight to my brother’s room to wake him up so we can open our presents and eat our huge Christmas breakfast, which consists of pancakes, eggs, bacon, and hot blueberry muffins fresh out of the oven. “Yummy!”  We would all be extremely zealous this holiday season as this could be everyones’ favorite holiday. A week before Christmas, my parents and I would meticulously decorate every part of our house, which could be tedious at times. However, when you spend that time with your family, it makes it all worthwhile.   What would make this holiday more ideal would be a light snowfall. Our living room would look perfect with the beautiful star on the high point of the tree. Our tree would be lit up like exploding fireworks changing colors constantly from red to green and green to yellow.  The best part of my wonderful holiday would be spending quality time with my family and exchanging gifts. My niece and I would be giggling in front of our wrapped presents anxiously waiting to play with our brand new toys. For Christmas, I always get new high-tec gadgets, such as a cell phone, I-pod, or a new video game console with a variety of games.   For dinner my mom would make a sweet ham and a delicious hot turkey. My mother also cooks homemade mashed potatoes and asparagus, which makes this dinner delectable! My favorite part of the day is desert; I help my dad bake chocolate chip cookies while my mom makes steaming hot homemade apple pie.   Christmas is a time to celebrate and share wonderful memories with your family and friends.
