My Ideal Holiday- Ian
For some reason I would always wake up earlier than all my family members on Christmas, but never on any other day, even if I slept late. Waking up early was a good sign though, it meant Christmas or extra time for something fun to do. For my “ideal” holiday, I would like to wake up only a little early to get some gaming in, but not too early because that would be tedious. After that, I would help make breakfast, which would be delicious blueberry oven baked muffins, hot turkey bacon and a glass of ice cold milk. Later on, we would go into the living room where our bright, vibrant tree was lit, surrounded by awesome gifts. The first person to open gifts would be Sean because it’s the first Christmas he really understands. Second, would be Fiona, 2nd youngest in the family. Third, would be me; the guy stuck in the middle. Last, would be Chloe, the oldest of the “kids”. The following would be my mom, and grandmother, the “extremely old” adults. For Christmas I would receive the things I desired the most: Guitar Hero 3 and Halo 3; as would my brother and sister. After opening presents, we would prepare to visit my other grandmother’s apartment in the city, as usual. At her house would be my dad, my uncles and of course my grandmother. We would have the normal car ride of blasting music, very enthusiastic laughing and sleeping because of boredom. At the apartment I would play board games, talk and watch movies. Later on, it would be time to eat and exchange gifts. For dinner my grandmother would make just barely burnt, crispy, chicken cutlets along with fresh green broccoli. For dessert it would be pumpkin pie with soft whipped cream on top. After our delectable dinner and dessert, it would be time to open our presents! I would receive an iPod video, a PSP and a new, large sketchbook with some sharpened pencils. Fiona, Sean and Chloe would receive their ideal presents also. At the end of the day we would say our good-byes, depart, go home and go to sleep after a long but extremely enjoyable day. The following day we would visit my aunt where we would have another awesome day.
