My Ideal Holiday - Taylor
When I first awoke to the sweet smell of fresh nature pinecones and the chocolate scent of freshly wrapped Hershey’s candy coming from the large burgundy dining room, I knew it was Christmas. The house was meticulous with everything in place, including the table setting -blue china plates with stainless steel knives, forks and spoons. We were all set to eat scrumptious Chicken Francese with lemon zest, penne a la vodka and delectable orange spice pumpkin pie for dessert.
My whole family was coming over, consisting of my cousins from Jupiter, Florida, named Luke, Louis and Johanna. Every Christmas, we run outside the small house, and play tag behind the giant Lexus, Viper, Acura and Town and Country minivan. Outside by the cold, wet, white blanket of snow, we see vibrant lights of reindeer and snowmen. When we return inside the house, there are tons of desserts and cakes all ready to be eaten. As soon as I hear the words “present time’’, I sit on the cold, hard, wooden floor, and look up with embarrassment because everybody is staring at me. My father bought me winter clothes, snow boots and a large blue book. My mother purchased a silver razor cell phone for me.
As all of my relatives are ready to leave after a perfect day at my house, I embrace them with a tight hug followed by a soft kiss on each of their mellowed cheeks. This truly is a wonderful Christmas.
