Announcements for Monday, Day 3
Any freshman wishing to run for class president, vice-president, secretary, or treasurer should submit their written goals for the office to Ms. B. or Mr. Baxter by Friday, September 18th. (Please announce Monday-Friday)
Hoofprints, the school newspaper, will hold its first staff meeting of the year on Tuesday, September 15th at 3:00 in Room 305W. All returning and new staff members are always welcome. (Please announce Monday and Tuesday)
Congratulations to the girls’ volleyball team who competed in fine fashion at the annual volleyball tournament. Our tournament was a big success all around. Congratulations again for making Sleepy Hollow very proud.
Good luck today to the boys’ soccer team playing their first home game against Tuckahoe at 4:30.
JV football team will be released from class at 2:30pm to dress and meet a 2:45 bus going to Lourdes in Poughkeepsie. All players must get their assignments for tomorrow and are responsible for any work that has been assigned.
“There will be a general interest meeting for those looking to audition for the fall drama. This year’s production will be “BAD SEED”, a psychological drama that examines the nature of evil, and asks the question: Are some people just born bad? The meeting will be held at 3:15, this Wednesday, in Mr. Kennedy’s room, 102-South.”
Attention all students:
Effective immediately, the only door to be used by students to enter or exit the building between 8:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. is the High School Main Entrance. All students will need to present a current Sleepy Hollow ID card to exit the building when asked.

Attention all students:

Sleepy Hollow is competing in The Challenge this year! Please see Mrs. Rosenwasser in room 319W on Wednesday, September 16th to discuss plans for this year and take a practice.
Attention National Honor Society Seniors:
There will be a brief but very important meeting for current National Honor Society members on Monday, September 14th in room 319 W at 3:10 pm. All seniors must attend.
There is a new Pen and Paper Role Playing Club being formed and members are required. Contact Antonio Calixto for information
Attention HS students:
High School students are NOT permitted to be in the Middle School at any time during the school day, including arrival and dismissal. HS students may use the Middle School Main Entrance until 8:30 AM, but must use the HS entrance after 8:30.

Attention National Honor Society Seniors:

All NHS officers see Mrs. Rosenwasser in 319W today after school.
The Homework Center (in room 405 EAST) and the Library-Media Center will be open after school every day, Monday through Friday, from 3:00 to 4:30 beginning on Monday, September 14th. Drop in whenever you need help with assignments or tests or a place to do your homework. Snacks are provided in the homework center, and all students are welcome!
CLUBS
Fitness Center
Anyone interested in using the newly renovated fitness center must see Mr. Bruno for an orientation. The room will be open Monday through Friday, room
3-5 pm, all year long. The Fitness Center will be available for students to use starting Monday, September 14th. Any questions see Mr. Bruno.
The first SPEAR meeting is on Friday after school in 106W.
SPORTS
The SHEDI swim team came out on fire last night at the annual Relay Carnival held at White Plains HS placing 1st overall out of 17 teams. Top place finishes
included the 200 Backstroke Relay with Daniella Carissimo, and 200 Breaststroke Relay including Kerry Oliveira. Congratulations to all swimmers on a job well done.
