The Girls Varsity Soccer team lost yesterday to a 6-1 Dobbs Ferry, but not without a major fight. Sleepy was down 0-3 at the half and made an impressive push from behind in the second half.
Sleepy’s defense practically shut down Dobb’s offense, while Alexis Bateman scores on an assist from Kelly Bender midway through the second.
With about fifteen minutes left in the game, Gillian Berger had an assist to Kelly Pereira, who sent a bomb of a shot from well outside the eighteen.
It looked like Sleepy tied the game with just under tow minutes left, but the official called a hand ball on the play.
Hollow’s next game is on Friday 9th.
