Announcements for Tuesday, Day 3

Attention Seniors. If you have not had your cap & gown measurements taken- see Mr. Matute today right after 8th period in room 312 West. Once again, Seniors that have not had their measurements taken see Mr. Matute today right after school in 312West.

There will be a VAASA meeting tomorrow, Wednesday, after school @ 3:05. Please meet Mrs. King and Mrs. Whitney in north hall. Any questions, please see Mrs. King.

The boys track team competed in the League II-B Championships on Sunday, January 10th. Christian Zhinin placed 5th in the 1000m run with a personal record and new sophomore school record with a time of 2:57. Gadi Langsam also ran a personal best in the 1000m. The entire sprinting crew ran personal records in the 55m dash. Relay placed 2nd and received All-League Honorable mention. They were: Armando Cabrera, Kevin Clark, Mike Valentin and Matt Caserin. The 1600m Relay team placed 3rd. They were: Alex Berger, John Pardo, Hernan Pena and Gadi Langsam. Jack Schnog placed 6th in the mile in a personal best time of 5.40.

Announcements for Monday, Day 2

Congratulations to the girls’ track team for their outstanding performance at yesterday’s league meet. Kathy Perez received all league for the shot put. Gillian Berger received all league and a personal best in the 55 meter dash. Gillian also received all league honorable mention for the 300 meters and the 800 meter relay. Freshman, Maddy McGovern, received all league and a personal best in the 1500 meter run. Sophomore, Katherine Doyle also received all league for the 3000 meter run. Gabby Maldonado, Gabby Cellante and Bobbie Shortell all received all league honorable mention for the 800 meter relay. Congratulations to all athletes.

Just a reminder – there is a ski meeting in room 209W for our ski trip to Hunter , Tuesday 1/12 at 3:00. Please bring signed permission slip, medical form – if you haven’t already given in one and $40 check if not renting and $70 check if renting.

Announcements for Friday, Day 1

Attention ALL Boys’ Lacrosse players:
This is a reminder that our first OPEN GYM will be held tomorrow morning at 10:30am in the OLD GYM.

Hey Hollow! Do you have talent? More auditions will be held for the upcoming Talent Show 1/12 and 1/14 after school in Room 211 W. Please bring any lyrics and instrument needs you have to the audition. Also be ready to perform!!

Announcements for Thursday, Day 6

Congratulations to the girls’ track team for their performances at yesterday’s meet at RCC. Katherine Doyle placed 1st in the 3000 meter distance run and Gillian Berger placed 1st in the 200 meter sprint. Freshman, Gabby Maldonado tied for 2nd place in the 200 meter sprint. Congratulations to all athletes. Come support the Lady Horsemen, Sunday, Jan. 10th, at The Armory.

On Wednesday, January 6th 2010, the Sleepy Hollow Wrestling team traveled to Mamaroneck. The team wrestled well all around winning the match 60-13. The Horsemen started the match in the right way, winning the first seven matches to get out to an insurmountable lead. Then great wrestling down the stretch just increased the gap. Christopher Lopez in his first match back since injuring his shoulder had no problem defeating his opponent. The Horsemen’s next match is on Monday January 11th. They are wrestling long time rival school Ossining, in what promises to be a good match. So come out and support the Horsemen, the match is at Ossining HS.

Announcements for Wednesday, Day 5

THERE WILL BE JV BOYS BASKETBALL PRACTICE AFTER SCHOOL AT 3 IN THE OLD GYM.

The African American Heritage Club will not meet on Thursday. Instead, all members must meet in the auditorium at 3:05 p.m. to have your picture taken. Please be on time so that we can be available when we are called.

NOTICE TO ALL TEENS WHO PLAY IN BANDS about a BATTLE OF THE BANDS!
Your band could be selected to perform in front of a live audience at the Westchester County Center this winter. The event will be held on January 23, 2010. Amateur musicians, 15-20 years of age only. Deadline for Submission of audition CDs is Tuesday, January 5.
