Announcements for Monday, Day 3

Attention Juniors: Letters of Invitation and Applications for Membership have been sent out to juniors who have qualified for membership in the National English Honor Society. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. McChoi in 311 West. Completed applications are due by 3pm on Friday, March 19th.

Hey Hollow! The annual Talent show is this Friday @ 7:30 PM. Tickets will go on sale on this Wednesday. Look for the announcement on Wednesday on who, when and where you can buy them. Ticket Prices will be $5 for students and $7 for anyone else.

Attention Juniors:
A reminder that the money for the Junior Dinner is PAST DUE!! Please bring your payment to either Mr. Spirelli or Mrs. O’Brien as soon as possible! A reminder that you MUST also have your contract turned in along with your table assignments.

In honor of PI Day, Sunday, March 14th, 2010, we will be celebrating with some math competitions, a t-shirt contest, and PI Day fact of the day. Today’s fact:
Monday: PI is a name given to the ratio of the circumference of a circle to the diameter. This means that any circle, you can divide the circumference, or distance around the circle, by the diameter, and always get the same number. Archimedes is credited with the first theoretical calculation of Pi.

Announcements for Wednesday, Day 6

Our meeting will moved from today to tomorrow (Thursday, March 4th) right after school in Mr. Dileo’s room. We will be going over the Footloose schedule and the rescheduled Talent Show. All members MUST attend.

The African-American Heritage Club will meet on Thursday at 3:05 p.m. in room 305 South.

Attention all students who received an application to the Math and Science Honor Society. Just a reminder that applications are due on Friday to Mr. Choi or Mrs. Walsh. Please make sure you get all materials in ON TIME.

There will be a Model UN Club Meeting on Thursday March 4 at 3:05 PM in room 304W. All members are expected to attend.

Shadow and Substance is now accepting submissions for the 2009/2010 publication! If you would like to submit poetry, pros, photography or other art work please email your work to litmag@tufsd.org or drop your work in the Literary Magazine Submissions folder in the Z drive. If you are not able to submit electronically, please see Ms. Cincotta or Mr. Baxter.

Attention members of Shadow and Substance-There will be a brief meeting in 307 West on Friday 3/5 at 3:05 pm. Please plan to attend and keep pushing for submissions!!!

Announcements for Tuesday, Day 5

A reminder that the money for the Junior Dinner is due by Friday, March 5th. Please bring payment and contracts to either Mr. Spirelli or Mrs. O’Brien as soon as possible.

Girls interested in JV Softball, there is a brief meeting in room 317West directly after school on Wednesday, March 3rd.

Important Mock Trial Announcement – First round has been rescheduled for Tuesday, 3/2. Second round is still Thursday, 3/4! Prosecution will have a practice on Monday after school – defense will have practice on Wednesday after school.

There will be a Mandatory Meeting for all SH Baseball Players in the New Gym on Wednesday immediately after school.

There will be a football meeting for all modified, JV and Varsity players and parents on Thursday, March 4th at 6pm in the high school cafeteria.

Announcements for Monday, Day 4

“Attention Juniors. There will be one more opportunity to order rings tomorrow. The representative from Jostens will be here to answer questions and place orders. This will be your last opportunity.”

Tonight’s football meeting for all Modified, JV and Varsity players and parents will be cancelled. It is rescheduled for Thursday March 4th.

Attention Math Team: There is a meet today after school! Please see Mr. Larkin in room 211 W. Again Math Team thee is a meet today after school meet up in room 211 W.

Attention all High School Orchestra Students: there is a night rehearsal tonight at 7:00 PM- all strings, winds, brass, and percussion in the High School Orchestra need to arrive at 7:00 PM tonight.

Reminder that there is Baseball Practice tonight at Frozen Ropes.

There is a mandatory JV Boys Lacrosse meeting on Tuesday, March 2nd immediately after in the high school gym. If you are interested in playing JV Boys Lacrosse you must attend this meeting.

Ski Club meeting for Killington on Tuesday at 3:00 pm in Room 209W.

PE Fitness Assessment Make-ups – Those students who need to make-up any part of their PE fitness assessments can come on Thursday morning at 8:00 am in the Gym. This is the last chance to make-up any assessments. If you do not attend then your grade will be affected.
