In support of Upstanders Week and the focus on the need for clean water for everyone, consider the following: An American taking a five-minute shower uses more water than the average person living in a slum in a developing country uses for an entire day.

Congratulations to Jack Bender for making it to the final round of the Sectional Golf Tournament. Playing from the tips at Metropolis Country Club, Jack shot a 78. He is currently tied for ninth place. The field which consisted of the best 54 high school golfers in our Section was narrowed to 30. Jack will play on Wednesday at Fenway Country Club with the hope of making it to the State Championship.

Sleepy Hollow, ranked #2 in Class A, will be playing their first home game on Wednesday at 4:00pm in the first round of the Section 1 Baseball Tournament, vs. the winner of Nanuet/Riverside.
