In observation of Black History The Contest begins immediately and the deadline for entries is March 17th. Entries should be turned in to your English teacher or to Dr. Burton. Please see your English teachers for the flyers with information, including topics and other information. Winners will be announced on March 28. First prize: $75.00 cash; 2nd Prize: $35.00Gift Certificate to Appleby’s,and 3rd Prize: Movie passes for 2 with popcorn and beverage. Please see Dr. Burton if you have any questions.

THE SLEEPY HOLLOW HELPERS CLUB WILL BE HELPING WITH THE DISTRICT FOOD DRIVE. WE ARE ASKING FOR YOUR HELP TO BRING IN ANY SUPPLIES THAT ARE LISTED ON THE POSTERS ALL AROUND THE MIDDLE SCHOOL. THE DRIVE WILL RUN FROM JANUARY 22ND TO FEBRUARY 8TH. THERE WILL BE A BIN OUTSIDE THE MIDDLE SCHOOL OFFICE FOR ANY FOODS THAT YOU ARE ABLE TO COLLECT. PLEASE DR OP OFF ANY ITEMS IN THIS CONTAINER. The students will participate in a 2-day festival culminating in a concert on Saturday February 10th at 2:00 PM in the Ossining High School Auditorium. This band was started by Mr. Sprague and other local middle school band directors. The festival was designed for enrichment and to give students an opportunity to play outside their school’s band room. Please come to the concert and support some of Sleepy Hollow’s most accomplished music students! E-mail Mr. Sprague if you have any questions at MSprague@TUFSD.org.
