The African-American Heritage Club is sponsoring an Essay Contest. The deadline for sumisison of entries is March 17. First prize: $75.00 cash; 2nd Prize: $35.00 gift certificate to Appleby’s; 3rd prize: Movie Passes for including Popcorn and Beverages. In observation of Black History The Contest begins immediately and the deadline for entries is March 17th. Entries should be turned in to your English teacher or to Dr. Burton. Please see your English teachers for the flyers with information, including topics and other information. Winners will be announced on March 28. The students will participate in a 2-day festival culminating in a concert on Saturday February 10th at 2:00 PM in the Ossining High School Auditorium. This band was started by Mr. Sprague and other local middle school band directors. The festival was designed for enrichment and to give students an opportunity to play outside their school’s band room.
