Ms. Winze is excited to be leading the fabulous string players at the Washington Irving School in Tarrytown, NY!  Before coming to WI, she taught strings and general music at the Elisabeth Morrow School (EMS) in Englewood, NJ.  Ms. Winze’s violin students have appeared on The Today Show and have performed with the Orchestra of St. Luke’s at Carnegie Hall’s “LinkUP!” educational concert series.

Ms. Winze is also passionate about using educational technology with her music students.  The EMS World Music podcasts won the 2003 JPMorgan Chase “Multimedia in the Classroom” award at the Celebration of Teaching and Learning Conference in Midtown, Manhattan.

When she isn’t teaching, Ms. Winze is working on her Master of Education degree at Teachers College, practicing Anusara yoga, or calling birds at the Greenbrook Sanctuary on the Palisades.

Ms. Winze, I am really happy that you are now a part of the string program in our district! I love your blog and I am confident that all of the string players are receiving excellent training under your watchful eye! Thanks for everything you do! Sincerely, Mrs. Trenczer
